We’ve been seeing plenty of ‘A Day in the Life of…’ articles emerging recently so we thought we would show what an average day looks like for our Managing Director, Peter Toon. Here’s what he sent us when we asked for a snapshot of his day…

45 Get up and head off for a run along Southsea seafront, wet and cold not a great day for running!

45 Back home, shower, quick breakfast and coffee.

15 Head off to Southampton Airport, traffic very slow arrive at 8.15.

00 Flight to Glasgow, no hold ups, Flybe on time today

35 Arrive in Glasgow, pick up hire car, bit frustrating as a car with Sat Nav was asked for, but none fitted, Enterprise offered a £5 discount not particularly helpful, luckily Simon in the Fareham office is on hand to give directions.

30 Arrive in Inverberg for meeting.

10 Head off to Luss, catch water taxi for meeting on other side of Loch Lomond.

30 Back in water taxi to cross the Loch back to Luss.

45 Grab a bacon roll in the pier café.

00 Back in the car heading to the Glasgow depot.

35 Drop into Glasgow to have a look around the depot and talk to Claire and Angela in the office.

00 Back in the car and head off to Newcastle to interview three people for the position of Logistics manager in our new Newcastle depot.

50 Arrive in Newcastle, straight into the interview, met three very interesting and capable people, it looks very promising.

55 Last interview finishes, time for dinner and beer.

10 Back to the bed and breakfast, catch up on a few emails, update a spread sheet.

20 Lights out!
