The Norfolk Community Health and Care (NCH&C) Trust is responsible for providing vital healthcare services for the wellbeing of nearly 900,000 people. The trust focuses on local, more community-focused care, sustaining a network of community hospitals, surgeries and direct-to-home services.
Back in August 2020, we were approached by University College London to assist with national collections blood samples as part of their Virus Watch household study of COVID-19 in England and Wales. The Virus Watch study is run by University College London in conjunction with the NHS. Most of what we understand about the virus is based on statistics of individuals who have been hospitalised, with little to no data from milder or asymptomatic cases. To understand the virus better, the study will follow-up a large sample of households around the country to learn how the virus spreads and what influences it (risk factors). For example, different age groups, previous medical conditions, occupations, ethnic minority groups and vaccinated vs non-vaccinated. The study is asking thousands of households to take part by completing regular online surveys and inviting a subset of people to receive tests for immunity and swab tests when
Since 1st June 2018, we have been collecting and delivering essential items for Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust.This includes handling internal mail, patient records, sterile surgical equipment (clean and contaminated) and mattresses (clean and contaminated). As well as, store daily necessities ranging from sugar, boxes of paper to office chairs, and medical support, parcels containing marketing materials to GP’s and Pharmacies. In addition to these services, we also supported the same day and pre-planned Ad Hoc services. For example, in March this year, we collected and delivered masks from King’s Lynn to Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust, completing the requests on the same day.As well as delivering 108 Morale Boxes integrated with the mail service and delivered to 45 sites within 3 days. Since June 2018, the Kings Lynn depot has been facilitating the receipt, handling and despatch for the Cambridge Media Group. Including the pick and pack function for daily orders for both the Independence Educational Publishers and Janus Publishing. The Cambridge Media Group publishes books and magazines for the performing arts, humanities, business and education sectors. Orderfulfilment processed on behalf of Cambridge Media Group have gone to Amazon, schools, and private home addresses both nationally and internationally. We receive orders through email and invoices, then delivery notes, purchase orders and shipping labels are printed and included within the parcels. The parcels are then picked and packed in cardboard sheeting and booked online via the Royal Mail, UK Mail or World Options and taken to the post office. Over the last 12 months, we have sent out 4,545 books as part of our daily operations. An average of 379 books per month
Vision Logistics provided chilled fulfilment and distribution services to help the Lucozade brand serve up a timely refreshment for commuters this summer. Giving away 1.8 million chilled samples throughout 13 of the countries busiest train stations. The joint hottest summer on record witnessed temperatures of around 30 degrees, with commuters feeling the brunt of this during their peak time travels. From London Waterloo to Glasgow central, commuters enjoyed the well-established energy drink at its optimal temperature of 2oc, delivered and managed by the expertise of Vision Logistics. We were very happy to offer our experiential marketing services, securing this years goody bag fulfilment project for Performance In for their annual event – PI Live 2017. The event showcases and celebrates the various forms of measurable marketing and is attended by around 2,500 marketing professionals at Old Billingsgate, London. Our Commitment to Flexibility Off the back of a website enquiry, we were chosen to manage the goody bag fulfilment for this years event. We were initially informed that the item quantities going into each goody bags were fluid, however we managed to still provide a cost to the client and agreed we would be flexible in adjusting our price accordingly to suit their end requirements. Our commitment to being as flexible as possible did not just stop at price. Due to numerous suppliers involved in the goody bag content, we accepted product up to a day before the event. After many weeks of meticulous logistical planning and execution, the most recent chilled fulfilment project, for a well-known smoothie brand; landed at nearly 10,000 locations nationwide. The sparkling adaptation was picked, packed and dispatched in a chilled storage environment, based out of our South East Fareham depot. The fulfilment project was completed over a four week period with weekly fulfilment orders placed only 72 hours in advance. Detailed logistical planning and our flexible approach allowed us to work well with our customer on their expected deliverable requirements. This project presented zero consistency, with no week the same as the last. However, our constant communication with our customer and thoughtful, strategic logistical planning allowed for us to complete the chilled fulfilment project both on time and at the correct temperature. Vision Logistics were tasked with the chilled fulfilment of a new brand Liberte yoghurts, delivering the products in chilled vehicles ranging from transits to 7.5t fridges. Our team made deliveries to 26 mainline train stations throughout England and Scotland on the same day at the same time! To complete the chilled fulfilment project… We planned, stored and picked the chilled product using our various nationwide depots. Our chilled storage solutions and temperature controlled delivery service distributed a whopping 185,000 yogurts in total.
In a nutshell Our latest fulfilment campaign was headed up in our Southern depot, it involved storing and collating 392,000 snack pots ready for nationwide distribution to the consumers. We’ve been delivering and giving out thousands of chilled Mountains Dew bottles all over the UK as part of their project with Global Radio. Up to now we’ve delivered to Scotland, Liverpool, Manchester, London, Leicester and Birmingham. Using our chilled storage and delivery service, our artic vehicles and chiller trailers have been distributed throughout the UK to these special events. We provided expert logistical solutions for Jersey Royals Potatoes and delivered a scrumptious sack of fresh potatoes straight to the door of various embassies in London. This was an exciting project for Vision which we look forward to completing again in the near future. As most of you know, you must keep potatoes at a certain temperature and lighting conditions to keep them at their optimum state. Our customers needed these authentic freshly picked Jersey Royal potatoes to arrive at their final destination looking good and tasting great. “Sally was absolutely fantastic—she gave a quick response with a clear competitive quote.” We used our temperature controlled storage and transportation services to keep the potatoes fresh on arrival. You may have seen the recent television adverts for M Kitchen, Vision were tasked with ensuring chilled storage was readily available to ship the fresh produce. We sent refrigerated vans out to chefs on the road to celebrate and share their great M Kitchen food with the public! We collected pallets of fresh food from their Head Office, then sent vehicles with chilled storage built in over 4 weekends to stay on site and off load the product when the chef’s required it.
